My STory
I have always had a passion for art. Ever since I was a child, creating art has been my refuge. In 2011, I finally finished a five-year journey of working full time while working on obtaining a college degree to advance my career in learning and development. After that goal was reached, I decided that I wanted to dedicate more time to my artwork and to refine my artistic skills.
I found a lovely art center just minutes away from me called the Ontarioville Art Center where they offered a special set of classes that allow you to dig in deep into any medium you want to learn. I signed up immediately.
I started by reviewing the basics through a core curriculum designed to help you learn value, proportion, and shape. I learned the gridding technique and found that I could draw anything I wanted to. From family photos to landscapes or flowers, I gained the confidence to finally call myself an "Artist".
In 2018, I began to teach at the Ontarioville Art Center. I love teaching and helping others find their own creative voice. In that same year, I attended my first Artist Residency Program at the Sedona Summer colony where I was blessed with the time and space to really explore my art and connected with the most talented artists.
My work is inspired by the world around me and the wonderful people and animals I call my family. My goal is to continue to explore nature and learn how it can influence the art I make.
